The Black Country's Toughest Parkland Challenge
Holes 5, 6 & 7 — Survive the stretch
A defining stretch of golf that has tested players for over a century. From the plateau of the 5th to the precision required on the 7th.
The Signature Stretch
Three unforgettable holes carved through rolling parkland. Precision from the elevated 5th, nerve across the demanding 6th, and absolute commitment on the iconic par 3 seventh.
Since 1893
In 1893, Canon Adam Gray Maitland arrived from Scotland to find a void in the Black Country: the absence of the "Royal and Ancient game."
Old Tom Morris—architect of Muirfield—personally designed the original course.
His layout takes full advantage of the volcanic ridge, offering a test of golf that remains as relevant today as it was in 1893.
Built on volcanic rock covered in thousands of years of soft, fine grass.
From the 8th green, look East. Nothing is higher until the Ural Mountains.
